15 Afghan Refugees Arrested by Police in Islamabad

Informed sources say that police in Pakistan have arrested and imprisoned at least 15 Afghan citizens who have sought refuge in this country due to security threats from the Taliban.

On Monday, reliable sources said that these people were arrested from the central areas of Islamabad on Saturday, 18 March.

According to the sources, the Pakistani police arrested these people en masse and there is no information about their situation for three days.

However, until now, the exact motive behind the arrest of these people is not known; But the sources claim that the Pakistani police demanded money from their families in exchange for the release of the arrested people.

Pakistani officials have not said anything about this so far.

Earlier, the Pakistani police arrested and imprisoned a number of Afghan refugees in different cities of this country.
