In a road accident in Hairatan township, Balkh, Afghanistan, 5 people were killed and 1 injured.
Sources confirmed to Hasht-e Subh that this accident took place yesterday (Friday, December 2nd) at around 6:00 pm in the ‘Taza-Omid neighborhood’ of the Hairatan border town in Balkh province.
Five people died and another person was injured in this accident, according to sources.
Asif Waziri, the spokesman of the Taliban police for Balkh province, confirmed this accident, saying that a Toyota Corolla pickup truck collided with a cargo truck in the vicinity of the port town.
The victims were all civilians, Taliban official added. The cause of the accident was reported to be the drivers’ failure to drive with due care.
