Herat – Local media in Badghis reported that a young man in the province was mysteriously killed by his wife.
Local officials in Badghis say the incident took place on Thursday night in the fourth district of Qala-e-Naw, the center of Badghis province.
Mawlawi Baz Mohammad Sarwari, a local Taliban official in Badghis, confirmed to local media that the young man had been hanged by his wife at night.
According to him, the woman accused of the murder, her grandfather and her brother have been arrested in connection with the incident. The young man was 26 years old.
Relatives of the victim reported that the young man had problems with his wife and that the motive for the murder was family problems.
In the past, women in Afghanistan were harassed by men, but in this rare incident, a man has been killed by his wife.
