Nangarhar – An explosion took place in a car carrying Kunar’s Shigal district governor, killing one and injuring 11 others.
Eyewitnesses told Hasht-e Subh that the blast took place on Thursday, October 14, in the area of Pul-e-Karhali in Asadabad district, the center of Kunar province.
A source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that the attack took place in the Shigal district of Kunar province.
According to him, the district governor of Shigal was severely injured in the blast.
Doctors at Kunar Provincial Hospital said that one killed and 11 injured have been delivered to the hospital so far.
A hospital official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said four Taliban members and seven civilians were among the wounded, including a woman and a child.
Local Taliban officials in Kunar province have not yet commented on the blast.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
