
Arsonists Target Girls’ Education: Unidentified Individuals Set Fire to School in Zabul Province
According to local sources, unidentified individuals set fire to the building of a girls’ high school in Zabul province.
According to local sources, the incident took place on Tuesday night, 11 Aprl, in the village of Shokhak in the Shahr-e Safa district of Zabul province.
It is said that as a result of the fire, the entire administrative documents and books present in the school building were burned.
It is not yet clear why and by whom the school building was set on fire.
The Taliban have not commented on the matter in Zabul yet.
Burning girls’ schools in Afghanistan is not unprecedented. Ten days ago, a school building in the Andkhoi district of Faryab province was set on fire by unknown individuals.
