Center of Baraka District of Baghlan Province Falls to Taliban

8Subh; Kabul: Baghlan Police confirmed that the Taliban had taken control of Baraka district in the province.

Baghlan police spokesperson Ahmad Jaweed Bisharat told 8 Subh that the district center had fallen to the Taliban at 10:00 a.m. on May 4 following the withdrawal of government forces.

Bisharat explained that clashes broke out last night and security forces retreated tactically from the Baraka district center.

According to him, these forces are now stationed in an area of ​​Baraka district and no casualties were inflicted on the government forces.

Mr. Jaweed said government forces were preparing to retake the Baraka district of Baghlan.

Baraka is located 85 km from Pul-e-Khumri city, the capital of Baghlan province, and borders Eshkamash district of Takhar province.
