Collapse of a House Roof in Laghman Claims the Lives of Seven Family Members

Local Taliban officials in Laghman have confirmed that the collapse of a house roof in this province has resulted in the death of seven members of a family and left one injured.

According to Yunus Yosufzai, a spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Laghman, the incident occurred on Thursday night, in Qalatak area of Ali Shing district.

Yousufzai stated that a woman, her husband, and five of their sons were killed in the incident, while one of their daughters was injured.

The spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Laghman emphasized that the house had been damaged due to recent rainfall and earthquakes, and its roof collapsed while the family members were asleep.

This comes just a week after another roof collapse in Ali Shing district of Laghman left four members of a family dead and injured.
