Deadly Fire Engulfs Petrol Station in Jawzjan, Leaving One Dead and Two Injured

A fire that engulfed a petrol station in Jawzjan has resulted in loss of life and significant financial damages.

The fire broke out at 3:40 a.m. on Friday, June 9, at the petrol station named “Alamyar Bayat,” located in the Andkhoy Port of Shibirghan city.

Taliban security officials for Jawzjan province have reported that as a result of this fire, one person has lost their life, and two others have been injured. The incident also caused financial damages amounting to more than two million Afghanis.

Abdul Sattar Halimi, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Jawzjan, stated that the fire occurred due to negligence during the fuel tanker evacuation process. He further mentioned that the victims of this fire were employees of the petrol station.

Meanwhile, on the night of Thursday, June 8, another fire broke out at one of the customs gates in Herat, resulting in financial damages.
