According to local sources in Farah Province, armed robbers have killed one person and injured another during a home invasion.
A reliable local source told Hasht-e-Subh that the incident occurred on Thursday, in the Spinzoi area of the Farahrud district in Farah Province.
The source stated that members of this family were shot by robbers when they entered the house and reacted in self-defense.
It is not yet clear whether the robbers were able to steal any valuables from the house after the shooting.
Taliban officials in Farah have confirmed the incident and announced that the perpetrators have been arrested.
There has been an increase in armed robberies in Farah Province recently. Just a few weeks ago, a taxi driver was killed by robbers in the same area.
