
Deadly Land Dispute: Four Killed in Armed Clash in Samangan Province
Four people have been killed and one other injured due to a land dispute in Samangan province, according to local sources.
The incident took place on May 7 in the village of Lila in the Dar-e-Suf Bala district. A local infiltrator, Haji Akbar Kootawal, had a verbal argument with a fellow villager over the ownership of a house, which escalated into an armed clash. Haji Akbar Kootawal and three of his relatives were killed, while one other was injured. The instigator fled the scene.
Taliban officials in Samangan have not commented on the matter yet.
