Deadly Thunderbolt: Lightning Strike Kills Student and Injures Two in Ghazni Province

A child student has died and two others have been injured as a result of lightning strikes in Ghazni province.

The Taliban’s natural disaster management department in Ghazni said that the incident happened on Wednesday, April 19, in the village of Khan-Mahmud Baba in the Waghaz district of this province.

Meanwhile, a source at the Ghazni provincial hospital told Hasht-e Subh that one of the injured is in critical condition.

Earlier this week, three people died from lightning strikes in the Shah-Joy and Arghandab districts of Zabul province.

This comes as the Taliban’s Ministry of Transportation and Aviation’s meteorological department warned of lightning strikes, snowfall, rainfall, and flooding in 26 provinces during this week.
