Detonation of Unexploded Mine Claims the Lives of Two Teenagers in Badghis

Two teenagers lost their lives due to the detonation of an unexploded mine in Badghis.

According to local sources reported by Hasht-e Subh, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Ab Kamari, located in the western part of Badghis Province, Afghanistan.

Sources reported that the mine was left at a checkpoint constructed by the former regime, and accidentally detonated while the children were playing with it.

Tragically, landmines from past wars often cause the deaths of Afghan children, with a similar incident recently resulting in the deaths and injuries of five children in Badghis province.
