Local sources in Faryab province have reported that an elderly woman has been murdered in this province.
Sources say that a woman named Nor Bibi was killed on Thursday, 27 April, in the village of Aqmas in the Qaysar district of Faryab.
According to sources, the 65-year-old Nor Bibi was killed by her nephew, named Noorulhaq, with a knife and the killer has fled the scene.
Although the reason and motive for this event are unclear, some of the victim’s relatives call on Taliban security officials to arrest the killer and hand him over to the judiciary.
This comes as a 56-year-old woman in Faryab committed suicide two days ago due to family disputes.
