Local sources in Kandahar province report that an explosion of a landmine in the center of this province has claimed the lives of three children.
Sources reported on Monday, May 8, that the incident occurred in the Haji Aziz area of the fifth security district of Kandahar City.
According to sources, two brothers and a sister were playing with an old landmine near a newly built house when the explosion occurred.
It is important to note that similar incidents have taken the lives of citizens, especially children, in various parts of Afghanistan.
Recently, three children were killed and two others were injured as a result of the explosion of a mortar shell in Maidan Wardak province.
