Local Taliban have punished three men and two women on various charges in a field trial in Aeibak city, the center of Samangan.
Local sources, speaking to Hasht-e Subh said that on November 30, the Taliban punished three men and two women in the presence of hundreds of residents of this province at the lawn of the police commander of Aeibak city, in a field court on charges of theft, and adultery.
According to these sources, in addition to harsh physical punishment of 50 lashes each, the Taliban have insulted the women with words such as “prostitute, and impure”.
Sources add that the women were arrested on charges of adultery and the men on charges of theft and adultery.
According to eyewitnesses, the Taliban took them away and there is no update on their fate and whereabouts.
Recently, Taliban group in different provinces have applied field trials which have provoked the reactions of human rights activists and the international community.
