
Former Judge Killed by Taliban in Helmand
Taliban fighters have killed a judge of the former regime’s arbitration court in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan.
A source on Wednesday identified the victim as Mawlawi Sayed Gol, a former arbitral judge in Helmand.
As reported by sources, the Taliban killed him on Tuesday afternoon after arresting him at his home in Lashkar Gah.
The Taliban have killed former government employees and affiliated individuals before.
As a result of the Taliban’s crimes against the former Afghan government and its affiliates, a number of former government officials and security officers have been arrested, tortured and killed.
