According to local sources in Herat, an elderly man was killed by knife attacks in this province. Sources told Hast-e Subh that the man was killed on Friday, April 1, in Pashtun-Zarghun district of Herat.
It is not yet clear why and by whom the man was killed.
Taliban have confirmed the incident and claimed that they have arrested one person in connection with the murder.
Last week, the body of a young man who was mysteriously killed was also found in the Gozara district of Herat province.
