Hundreds of Women in Ghor Took Up Arms Against the Taliban
8 Subh; Kabul: Ghor’s press office said in a statement on Sunday, 4 July, that hundreds of women in the province took up arms to warn the Taliban against supporting their children in the ranks of the country’s security forces.
They stated that they would stand up to the Taliban and not allow the groups “forceful rule” to take over again.
Ghori women say they remember the Taliban’s “dark and black” era and do not want the group to rule again.
On the other hand, Abdul Zahir Faizzada, he appreciated this action in support of the country’s security forces. The governor of Ghor called the women’s action a sign of the people’s victory over the Taliban.
In some other province, including Jawzjan, women had previously taken up arms against the Taliban.
