Pakistan Removes Tariffs on Afghan Fresh Fruits Except for Apples
8am, Kabul: Mohammad Sadiq Khan, Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan, said his country would not receive customs duties, except for apples, from fresh fruits imported from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
Mohammad Sadiq Khan tweeted that the tariff on fresh fruits imported from Afghanistan has been lifted since Saturday.
He stated that the move reflects Pakistan’s foreign, geographical, and economic policy toward Afghanistan.
A letter sent by Pakistani customs to its ports states that no tariffs will be imposed on fresh fruits imported from Afghanistan except apples.
According to Sadiq Khan, this will significantly help Afghan businessmen.
