Renowned Afghan Historian Gholam Mohammad Mohammadi Passes Away

Gholam Mohammad Mohammadi, a writer, researcher, and historian of Afghanistan, passed away at the age of 64 after a decade-long battle with cancer, according to his family.

The family members of Gholam Mohammad Mohammadi confirmed to Hasht-e-Subg that he passed away at around 2:00 pm on Saturday, at his home.

According to his family, Mohammadi suffered from cancer for the past 10 years.

The death of Gholam Mohammad Mohammadi has caused widespread reactions on social media.

He has left behind a plethora of works, including “We Are Not All Afghans,” “Durand Line: Recognize This Wall of Death,” “History and Civilization of Tajiks,” “The Expanse and Glory of the Persian Language,” and “Why Don’t We Celebrate Nowruz?”.

It should be noted that Gholam Mohammad Mohammadi was the main resident of the Enaba district in the province of Panjshir.
