
Sirajuddin Haqqani Met with the Families of the Suicide Bombers
Kabul – The Taliban government has announced that the acting Interior Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani the Caliph, met with the families and heirs of the perpetrators of the suicide attacks on Monday (October 18th).
The meeting has taken place at the Intercontinental Hotel.
Haqqani told the meeting that he appreciated the “sacrifice of the Mujahideen and the martyrs,” adding that the suicide bombers were “heroes of Islam and the homeland.”
Sirajuddin Haqqani has also referred to the “suicide bombers” as “the heroes of the faithful nation.”
He has stressed that any betrayal of the ideals of the suicide bombers should be strictly avoided.
In images released by the Interior Ministry of the Taliban, the face of Sirajuddin Haqqani has been blurred. The US government had previously offered a $5 million reward for the information leading to the killing or arrest of Sirajuddin. Following his appointment as the acting interior minister in the Taliban government, the reward has been increased to $10 million.
