Taliban Arrests a Tajik Affiliated Commander of Their Ranks in Takhar

Local sources in Takhar province have reported that Pashtun Taliban have arrested Mawlawi Aziz, one their local commanders affiliated with the Tajik ethnic.

According to the sources, he was taken into custody by Pashtun Taliban in Gazstan village of Kalafgan district of this province on Monday.

It is said that the motive behind his arrest is internal disputes among the Taliban.

Recently, the internal disputes between the Pashtun, Tajik and Uzbek Taliban have increased in Takhar province.

Two days ago, two Pashtun and Uzbek Taliban commanders clashed in Khwaja Bahauddin Takhar district, as a result of which two Taliban members were killed and six others injured.
