The Taliban group has once again destroyed the tomb of Ahmad Shah Massoud, Afghanistan’s national hero, in Panjshir province, sources said.
Sources told Hasht-e Subh that a number of Taliban fighters on Friday broke the tombstone.
Footage published on social media also shows that the stone of Massoud’s tomb has been broken.
According to reports, the fighters who have done this are among the rebels of the Taliban who recently entered Panjshir to fight against the National Resistance Front (NRF) forces in the province.
Previously, the glass cover of Ahmad Shah Massoud’s tomb was broken once and its stone was destroyed by the Taliban.
In another case, a video of some Taliban fighters who were dancing in this tomb was broadcast on social networks, which sparked widespread reactions nationally and globally.
