Local sources from the provinces of Herat, Paktika, and Ghor have reported a series of tragic incidents resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to seven others.
The first incident took place on Friday, September 29, in the Enjil district of Herat province, where two motorcycles collided. This collision led to the demise of two individuals and left two others critically injured.
In a separate incident in Urgo district, Paktika province, on Saturday, September 30, a collision occurred between a motorcycle convoy and a car, injuring four individuals, including a woman. The injured victims were promptly transferred to the provincial hospital in Paktika for medical attention.
Furthermore, in Ghor province, on Sunday, October 1, one person sustained injuries when a car overturned on the road in Ferozkoh, the provincial capital.
The root causes of these accidents have been identified as the lack of standardized roads and the negligence of drivers.
It is crucial to highlight that the frequency of traffic accidents has surged nationwide this year when compared to previous years.
