Local Taliban officials in Nangarhar report that recent traffic incidents in the province have resulted in the loss of three lives, including that of a child, and left one person injured.
Abdul Basir Zabuli, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Nangarhar, stated on Saturday, December 9th, that the first incident occurred unexpectedly yesterday in the Samarkhel area of Behsood district.
According to him, as a result of this incident, two individuals lost their lives, and a driver sustained injuries.
He specified that the event occurred due to a collision between a vehicle and a bridge railing, attributing the cause to the driver’s lack of caution.
Additionally, Zabuli added that today, a nine-year-old child was riding on the roof of a vehicle with his father, and as a result, the child fell and tragically lost his life.
This incident took place in the eighth district of Jalalabad city, the capital of Nangarhar province.
It has been previously emphasized that driver negligence is the primary cause of traffic incidents.
Last Thursday, three individuals lost their lives, and seven others were injured in a traffic incident in Nimruz province, adding to the toll of tragic events on the roads.
