An explosion of a mortar shell in the Giru district of Ghazni province resulted in the death of a 10-year-old child and the injury of another.
Sources from Ghazni province reported that the incident took place on Saturday, April 29, in the village of Mata Khan in the Giru district.
This comes after the children had intended to sell the mortar shell in a scrap metal gathering.
On Friday, three children also lost their lives in the Sayed-Abad district of Maidan Wardak province due to the explosion of a mortar shell.
