
Tragic Consequences of Phone Charging Disputes: 13-Year-Old Boy Takes His Own Life in Bamiyan
Local sources in Bamiyan report that children in this province hanged themselves after disputes with their mother.
On Saturday, June 3, a child took his own life in the Zargaran area of the Third Security District in central Bamiyan.
Mohammad Elias hanged himself following a verbal argument with his mother over charging his mobile phone.
According to a source, Mohammad Elias’s body was transferred to the provincial hospital in Bamiyan on [specific date] at around 4:00 pm.
Local Taliban officials in Bamiyan have not yet commented on this incident.
Hasht-e Subh has provided information stating that this incident marks the fifth suicide case among children and adolescents registered in Bamiyan in over two months.
It is worth mentioning that, in the past month, 13 women and 12 men have resorted to suicide, primarily due to poverty and hardship in various parts of the country.
