
Tragic Loss: Unexploded Mortar Shell Claims Lives of Three Children in Maidan Wardak Province
Local Taliban officials in charge of natural disaster management in Maidan Wardak province have reported that three children were killed and two others injured as a result of the explosion of an unexploded mortar shell in this province.
The disaster management department of the Taliban in Maidan Wardak stated in a newsletter that the incident took place on Friday, 28 April, in Diwalgai Dasht-e Tup village of Sayed-Abad district, which is part of this province.
According to the published information, the unexploded mortar shell exploded while children were playing with it.
It is still unclear whether the deceased and injured children are members of one family or not.
