Farah province witnessed a devastating incident on Tuesday, June 20th, as a local teenager tragically took his own life by leaping from the third floor of a building.

According to sources in the area, the seventeen-year-old youth ended his life in the fourth security district of Farah city.

The identity of the victim, who allegedly resorted to suicide due to family violence, remains undisclosed.

Local Taliban officials have refrained from issuing any statements concerning this heart-wrenching event.

Merely four months ago, another teenager committed suicide in the Shib-e Koh district of Farah province, further underscoring the severity of the situation.

With the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the occurrence of suicides among young girls and boys has witnessed a distressing surge, primarily attributed to mounting economic and familial hardships.

Adding to the grim tally, yesterday, on June 20th, two more teenagers, a girl, and a boy, tragically took their own lives in the Tagab and Hisa-e Awal districts of Kapisa province.
