Unidentified Armed Group Kills Young Man in Farah Province, Adding to Rise of Mysterious Murders in Afghanistan

Local sources in Farah report that an unidentified armed group has killed a young man in the center of this province.

Local sources speaking to Hasht-e Subh say the young man, named Mohammad Naeem and a resident of Pusht-e-Rod district, was killed on Tuesday afternoon, May 3, in the Sang-e Zor area, in the center of Farah province.

It is reported that after killing the young man, the armed individuals took 300,000 Afghanis in cash and his mobile phone.

So far, the main motive for this murder has not been identified.

The Taliban have not provided further details on the incident.

Recently, mysterious killings have increased in various provinces of Afghanistan. Yesterday, a young man was also killed in Logar province.
