Yusuf Rashid, Executive Director of FEFA, Assassinated in Kabul

8 Subh, Kabul: Yusuf Rashid, executive director of the Free and Fair Elections Foundation of Afghanistan, was killed in an armed attack in Kabul.

The incident took place in the Tanikot area of ​​the seventh district of Kabul.

Kabul police spokesperson Ferdows Faramarz said that Yusuf Rashid and his driver were seriously injured at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23.

According to Faramarz, Yousef Rashid was killed and his driver injured in an armed attack by “terrorists”.

Yousef Rashid was initially wounded in the attack, but later died at the hospital.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Part of the work of the institution that was managed by Mr. Rashid was oversight of the election process.

FEFA was established in 2004 by a number of civil society organizations and registered with the Ministry of Economy.

The organization stated that one of its goals was to involve people in the election process and to provide equal access to opportunities.
