Local sources in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz Province say that on Thursday night (July 14th), fierce fighting raged on between the Taliban and unknown armed men.
Sources add that this conflict started at around 11:00 PM in the village of Qanjagha and continued until 3:00 AM.
Both sides used small arms and light weapons in the conflict, according to sources.
Although the exact number of casualties is not known, local sources have said that both sides suffered casualties.
The Taliban have claimed that they attacked an ISKP hideout in Imam Sahib district.
Imam Saheb district is bordering with Tajikistan, and after the Taliban took charge in Afghanistan, dozens of attacks have taken place in this district.
