The National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan claims to have killed two Taliban fighters in Herat province. In a statement, the NRF alleged that its forces launched an attack on the Taliban near the group’s Directorate of Refugees and Repatriations office in Herat city around 5:00 AM on Saturday, April 27. According to the statement, these Taliban fighters belonged to the group’s border brigade.
The statement reads: “In this operation, neither the forces of the National Resistance Front nor the civilians suffered any casualties.” However, local sources confirmed the killing of a Taliban fighter in this incident to the Hasht-e Subh Daily. These sources further specified that the Taliban member was killed this morning on the road to “Guzargah-e Sharif.” The Taliban have not commented on this matter yet.
Meanwhile, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan also attacked a Taliban checkpoint in the Khairkhana area of Kabul city last night. According to reports, as a result of that attack, two Taliban fighters were killed, and three others from this group were wounded.
