In the wake of reports detailing an explosion in Kabul, the Freedom Front of Afghanistan has stepped forward, asserting responsibility for the incident.
On the evening of Monday, November 27, the Freedom Front announced in a newsletter that it orchestrated an attack on the Taliban along the Kabul Airport Road in the ninth security district of Kabul. The assault resulted in the death of two Taliban fighters and the injury of two others.
However, the specific nature of the explosion has not been disclosed by the Freedom Front.
The Taliban, in response, have not confirmed the casualties as claimed by the Freedom Front.
Over the past three days, the Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for at least six attacks on the Taliban, spanning the provinces of Parwan, Kapisa, Kabul, and Laghman.
Notably, last night, the Taliban acknowledged only one of the attacks by the Freedom Front on their positions. They reported that unidentified individuals caused a non-lethal incident by throwing a hand grenade into a water reservoir belonging to their forces.
