Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) has welcomed the agreement to create an air corridor between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Pakistani media quoted PCMEA, saying that the establishment of an air corridor between the two countries would reduce problems.
Meanwhile, PCMEA has called for the removal of port barriers between both nations and emphasized that the raw materials of Pakistan’s hand-woven carpets are imported from Afghanistan.
The association said that due to the existence of many obstacles in transporting carpet raw materials from Afghanistan, creating an air corridor can reduce the challenges.
This comes while Afghan carpets are always manipulated by carpet exporters in Pakistan and are being sold under the name of that country.
