Local sources in Sar-e Pul Province have reported that a man slit his wife’s throat, resulting in her murder.
This incident took place on Thursday night, June 1, in the Kohistanat district of Sar-e Pul Province.
Images sent to Hasht-e Subh also depict a woman’s throat being cut with a knife.
According to sources, the husband accused of her murder is named Shafiqullah.
The motive behind this incident has been attributed to domestic violence.
The Taliban have not commented on this matter so far.
It should be noted that incidents of domestic violence have increased in various parts of the country since the Taliban came to power.
Last month, a man in the Chahar Dara district of Ghor Province also murdered his wife.
Experts attribute the rise of such events to the proliferation of poverty and unemployment.
