The Taliban in Faryab have arrested a former security official on charges of collaborating with the American Central Intelligence Agency or CIA.
The Taliban arrested him on Tuesday night, November 22, in Maimana, the capital of Faryab province, and transferred him to Kabul.
His name is Abdul Karim, a national security officer of the former government, and he is a resident of Tekli Khaneh, the third district of Maimana city.
According to sources, he returned from Pakistan three months ago and did not have any military activity.
This is not the first case the Taliban harass, arrest and torture former security officials. There are several similar reports that the Taliban have been allegedly harassing, arresting, torturing, and killing members of former security forces across the country.
