According to local sources, two men have been fatally shot in separate incidents in Nangarhar and Kunduz provinces.
In Nangarhar, a young man identified as Rafiullah was mysteriously murdered on Wednesday night, April 3rd, in the “Bahrabad” area of the sixth district of Jalalabad city. The victim succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the head. The motive behind this killing remains obscure.
In a separate incident, a resident of the “Robatak” village in the Yiftal-e-Payan district of Badakhshan province, named Habibullah, was killed in Kunduz province on the same day. Habibullah had been residing in Kunduz city for some time. Although the motive behind his murder remains undetermined, sources suggest that it may be linked to his intention to marry a woman, allegedly leading to his death at the hands of the woman’s relatives.
According to reports, individuals donning Taliban attire and armed with weapons stormed Habibullah’s residence at night and opened fire on him. No official statement has been released by the Taliban regarding this incident.
These tragic events follow a recent surge in mysterious killings and criminal activities across various parts of the country. On Tuesday night, April 2nd, two individuals were also killed in Takhar and Ghazni.
