The $40 million aid package arrived in Kabul after a long delay due to the Taliban’s ban on female NGO staff.
The Taliban-run Central Bank of Afghanistan or Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) said in a newsletter issued on Saturday, January 14 that a cash aid package worth 40 million dollars was delivered to a commercial bank in Kabul.
Numerous reports were published earlier, indicating that according to a spokesperson of the central bank, humanitarian aid to Afghanistan had been stopped.
Meanwhile, the last aid package containing 40 million dollars in cash reached Afghanistan on December 14 last year.
