Local sources have reported that a woman was murdered by her husband in Parwan Province. Sources confirm to the Hasht-e Subh Daily that the incident took place on Sunday night, April 21, in the village of “Deh Mullah” within the jurisdiction of Bagram district. The woman’s husband strangled her to death.
A resident of Bagram district provided insight into the motive behind the murder, stating: “Her husband forbade her from speaking to his brother. However, due to both families residing in the same compound and the woman being compelled to interact with her husband’s brother, he murdered her one night.” The individual accused in this incident, Parwiz, has been arrested by the Taliban in Kabul. The woman, who had two underage children, had been married for about six years.
So far, the Taliban have not issued any statements regarding this matter. It is noteworthy that since the Taliban’s return to power, incidents of domestic violence and women’s murders have escalated in various parts of Afghanistan. Additionally, five days ago, two women were mysteriously murdered in Alasay district, Kapisa province.
