Kabul – The former deputy governor of Panjshir Kabir Vaseq has said that the leader of the National Resistance Front (NRF) Ahmad Massoud has traveled to some regional countries to attract aid to the NRF, Russia’s Tass news agency reported.
The agency quoted Kabir Vaseq on Monday, (November 1) that Ahmad Massoud is in Tajikistan now.
According to Kabir, Massoud attempts to attract the support of various countries to reinforce the National Front and to convince the regional countries and the international community to fight against the caretaking government of the Taliban.
“Ahmad Massoud sometimes travels to Afghanistan to visit the Resistance units inside the country,” he added.
The Resistance Front has a good relationship with Tajikistan which has provided remarkable collaborations to the people of Afghanistan, according to Vaseq.
The National Resistance Front was established by the leadership of Ahmad Massoud in Panjsher province since the fall of the previous government.
Meanwhile, the Taliban seized parts of Panjshir in mid-September this year, claiming that they had suppressed the Resistance Front.
