The Afghan Women’s Political Participation Network has declared that the Taliban’s actions, including holding kangaroo court, proxy wars, mass killings, and violations, have demonstrated their danger to Afghanistan and the world.
On Tuesday, August 15, the Afghan Women’s Political Participation Network issued a statement on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the Taliban’s rule, stating that on such a day, the global community has surrendered Afghanistan to the Taliban, jeopardizing the future of the country’s 36 million innocent citizens.
The statement reads: “This day symbolizes the unjust handing over of power to an ignorant group, shattering the hopes and aspirations of Afghanistan’s 36 million innocent citizens.”
Meanwhile, protesters in Pakistan have also expressed their solidarity with the people of Afghanistan on this day, under the banner of “Solidarity Week with the People of Afghanistan by Resident Immigrants of Islamabad.”
It’s worth noting that today, August 15, marks the second year of the Taliban’s ascension to power in Afghanistan.
The Taliban have celebrated this day in the country, even as restrictions against the country’s citizens have escalated since the rise of this group into power.
