Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and discussed mediation efforts to end the conflict between the United States and Tehran.
The official Oman News Agency reported on Sunday, April 26, that Oman has played a mediating role in the war and has sought to reduce tensions by hosting negotiations.
The country also described the joint US and Israeli attacks on Iran as illegal and destabilizing for the region.
Turkey has also said that US and Israeli attacks against Iran violate international law.
Araghchi visited Pakistan yesterday and is scheduled to return to Islamabad today.
