Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense says Iranian missile attacks have caused fires and inflicted severe damage on the country’s critical infrastructure.
Al Jazeera reported on Sunday, July 19, that the Iranian missile strikes targeted civilian and critical facilities across Kuwait.
According to the report, Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, spokesperson for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense, described the attacks as an “act of aggression.” He said Iran targeted the country’s electricity, water, and renewable energy facilities.
The statement comes after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had previously warned that it would target critical infrastructure across the region if the United States attacked Iran’s infrastructure.
Since the United States and Israel began their war against Iran several months ago, Gulf states have repeatedly come under Iranian missile and drone attacks.
