Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia is ready to supply oil to the U.S. and global markets.
TASS reported on Friday night, October 9, that Putin made the remarks following a phone call with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump.
According to the report, the two leaders discussed energy-related issues during their conversation.
Meanwhile, Russia’s oil industry has faced heavy sanctions from Western countries for the past four years because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
However, Trump has introduced exemptions for Russian oil exports to ease the burden of rising oil prices caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
