Local sources in Panjshir province report that the second son of a family in this province has lost his life due to torture inflicted by the Taliban.
Sources, in conversation with Hasht-e Subh, confirm that the individual was named Ahmadwali and was detained on Wednesday, May 17, in Kabul city. The following day, the Taliban handed over his body to his family.
According to sources, the Taliban have warned Ahmadwali’s family not to speak to the media about this matter.
Ahmadwali had spent some time in prison during the previous government on charges of committing criminal acts and had become unemployed after the Taliban’s takeover.
The motive behind the arrest and murder of this young man is currently unknown.
It is worth mentioning that in December of last year, Ahmadwali’s brother, named Shamsullah, also died as a result of torture by the Taliban. He had been detained on charges of collaborating with the National Resistance Front.
