The Taliban have arrested, tortured and find a farmer in Samangan province for raising the previous government’s flag, local sources said, adding that he was released after two days on bail.
According to sources, the farmer whose name is Ahmadullah was beaten and tortured for two days by the Taliban in the prison.
The Taliban group has also taken 100,000 afghanis in exchange for Ahmadullah’s release.
The Taliban members have not yet commented on the case.
Meanwhile, the Taliban supreme leader banned the use of the former government’s flag after the group returned to power in August last year.
