The spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Kabul reported a tragic incident, revealing that an explosion in the city has resulted in the loss of three lives and injuries to four others.
Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Kabul, issued a statement today confirming that the explosion occurred around 3:50 pm on Tuesday, January 9th, in the Alawkhil area, located within the sixteenth security district of Kabul.
According to Zadran, the explosive device was planted in the back of a Mercedes vehicle.
As of now, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for this devastating incident.
It’s worth noting that earlier this week, on Saturday, another explosion occurred in the Dasht-e Barchi area of Kabul. The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) reported in a newsletter that at least 25 individuals were killed or wounded as a result of that incident.
Responsibility for the earlier explosion was claimed by the ISIS group.
