The Taliban have moved a military unit consisting of an estimated 350 fighters to a religious school in Daikundi Province.
Residents told Hasht-e Subh on Friday (October 28th) that Taliban fighters have turned “the Markaz-e Bandar Seminary” in Sangtakht-Wa-Bandar district in Daikundi province into a military base.
One of the residents of this district, who does not want his identity to be revealed, says that the Taliban in the mentioned district threw away the books of the “Khatam-ul-Nabieen” library, turning the cultural center into a military base.
The source adds that this library was established a while ago by a group of scholars of Sangtakht-Wa-Bandar district.
This action of the Taliban has caused public outcry among the residents.
The reason for the gathering of Taliban forces in this district is not known.
This is despite the fact that in the past week, the Taliban have moved hundreds of troops in Alqan and Chabrasak markets of Shahristan district, and according to independent sources, they are turning residential houses and shops into military camps.
The Taliban has also sent troops to the Shakhdar area, Balkhab district, Sar-e-Pul province, which has caused fear and anxiety among residents.
