Kabul – The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has said in response to the United Nations resolution that denying the legitimate rights of the Afghan people is useless and has no legal basis.
The new Afghan government as the responsible system and an independent government that has ensured the security of its people, has the legal right to have a representative in the UN, tweeted Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the Foreign Ministry spokesman today Tuesday, December 7.
Leaving Afghanistan’s seat in the UN in the hands of someone who has no business relationship with the center or anywhere in Afghanistan is a waiver of the legitimate rights of the Afghan people, Balkhi stressed.
In addition, denying the legitimate rights of the Afghan people and using them as a tool of pressure doesn’t have any interest, and has no legal basis, he stated.
The remarks came as the UN issued a resolution the previous day delaying the process of Taliban’s recognition.
On the other hand, the agency also did not accept the Taliban government’s proposed representative to the United Nations.
